Wesson left this world on November 22, 2025 at the age of 18, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He is survived by: his parents, Dustin Lane and Whitney Lane; his aunts and uncles, Brandie Key (Jeff), Josh Smothers, Tyler Anders and Samantha Anders; his great-grandparents, Delder Anders and Dot Woods; his grandparents, Cameron Lane, Jody Smothers, Tammy Lane and Lon (Lonnie Marcum); and his great-grandparents, James, Aaron, Glenn Smothers, Gary Anders and Judy "Nanner" Tidwell. He is also survived by cousins, neighbors, friends, and a village of bonus moms.
Though clinically declared on November 19, he remained on a ventilator to fulfill one last act of kindness, giving the gift of life to others through organ donation.
