With sadness, we share the passing of William Cooner of Cordova, Alabama. William, born on October 8, 1950, passed away on September 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Kathy Jean Bynum Cooner; his parents, William Green Cooner and Ardie Cooner; and his sister Carolyn Cooner Richardson. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Cooner (Jill) and Matthew Cooner (Amanda); his grandchildren, Hunter (Sara), Emily, Hannah, Parker, Hayden and Landon; his great grandchildren, Samuel and Jay; his siblings, Tim Cooner (Tina) and Brenda Stewart (Kenneth); and his brothers-in-law, Wallace Bynum (Donna) and Harmon Bynum (Lovenia).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Collins-Burke Funeral Home (303 Oak Hill Rd, Jasper, AL 35504). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the New Prospect Cemetery (770 AL-5, Jasper, AL 35503).
