It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Franklin Smith Sr. of Jemison, Alabama, who passed away on January 14, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Curtis Smith and Mary Elizabeth Smith; his siblings, Sally Duckworth, Wayne Smith and Jerry Smith; and his great grandchild Ansley Alleman.
He is survived by: his children, Donald F. Smith (Frankie), Donna Childress and Cathy Smith; his grandchildren, John Lewis Smith, Jillian Smith, Christal Bean, Brittany Smith, Devin Roper, Arion Roper, Catherine Posey and Lacey Alleman; his daughter-in-law Marti Smith; and his siblings, Janice Bice (Donald), Albert Smith and Johnny Smith (Betty). He is also survived by 14 Great Grandchildren.
