She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Floyd Brantley and Emma Lessie Posey Brantley; and her siblings, Joyce Hayes, Shirley Blackerby and Dan Brantley.

She is survived by: her husband James Edward Scott; her daughters, Kim Hopper (David) of Jemison, AL and Wendy Paschal (Brian) of Jemison, AL; her grandchildren, Derrick Hopper (Whittley), Kendra Hopper, Brianne Williams (Patrick) and Brett Paschal (Anna Claire); her great grandchildren, Everette Hopper, Samuel Hopper, Mary Ellen Williams, Maggie Paschal and Ada Paschal; her brother Wayne Brantley; and her sister-in-law Judy Brantley.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Union Springs Baptist Church building fund.
