She was predeceased by: her parents, Roger Van Layton and Alice Mary Suite Layton. She is survived by: her husband Dwayne Hicks of Jemison; her sons, Cheyenne Layton (Amanda) of Jasper and Adam Hicks (Kaylee) of Jemison; her grandsons, Kyler Hicks of Jemison and Kolsyn Hicks of Jemison; and her siblings, Marshall Layton of St. Clair County, John Layton (Laura) of Talladega and Shirley Layton of Alexander City.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home (1709 Lay Dam Rd, Clanton, AL 35045). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at the Rocky Mount Cemetery (14731 Co Rd 51, Jemison, AL 35085).
