She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Grady Patterson and Mamie Estelle Rhodes Patterson. She is survived by: her children, Windell Cofer (Debbie) of Jemison and June Collins (Bobby) of Thorsby; her grandchildren, Rachel Mims (Matt), Ginger Bell (Luke), Clay Collins (Jessica) and Wendy Fortner (Tim); her husband James Cofer; her daughter Mary Patterson; and her brothers, Tommy Patterson, Jimmy Patterson and Joe Patterson. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home (1709 Lay Dam Rd, Clanton, AL 35045). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Mountain Springs Church in Clanton.
