We are sad to announce that on October 24, 2025, at the age of 86, Shirley Ann Mims of Jemison, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Shirley's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Clay Watson and Lennie Onita Lightsey Watson; her husband Alvin Mims; and her brother Kenneth Ray. She is survived by: her sons, Clay Mims (Terri) of Warner Robins, GA, Ken Mims (Susan) of Thorsby and Keith Mims (Christy) of Foley; and her sister Betty Williams of Jemison. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mars Hill Baptist Church (4301 County Rd 42, Jemison, AL 35085). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at the Pine Hill Cemetery.
