He is survived by: his wife Delorise McClendon Long of Kellyton, AL; his children, George R. Long Jr. (Michelle) and April B. Rios (Alejandro); his grandchildren, Avery Madison Long, William R. Long, Meagan Hackler Allen, Lindsey Hackler, Madison Hackler and Gavin Hackler; his great grandchildren, Emma Allen, Carson Allen and Wesley Brown; and his siblings, Delia Fay Chandler and James Long (Dian).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Radney Funeral Home (1326 Dadeville Rd, Alexander City, AL 35010). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home (1326 Dadeville Rd, Alexander City, AL 35010).
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the charity of one's choice.
