He was predeceased by: his parents, Odin Cox and Ruby Cox; and his siblings, Marvin, Arvil, Howard, Edward, Ronald, Clifford, Charles, Hershel Cox and Helen Thrasher.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Cox; his daughters, Sherry Marks (Ronnie) and Regina Cox; his siblings, Harlon, Ray and Wanda Cox; his grandsons, Justin Marks (Morgan) and Jacob Marks; and his great grandchild Copeland Marks. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and at 1:00 PM at the Shiloh Church of Christ (2605 Co Rd 344, Florence, AL 35634). A burial will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
