He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard O'Neal Canerday and Eva Mae Willis Canerday; his sons, Joseph Leonard Canerday, Jason McKinley Canerday Brothers, Leonard O'Neal "Buddy" Canerday, Jr. and Jerry "Jake" Canerday; and his sisters, Evelyn Ghrigsby and Brenda Canerday.
He is survived by: his wife Patti Thorn Canerday; his stepdaughter Megan Johnson-Webb (Jamaal); his siblings, Ray Canerday (Becky), Johnnie Murphree, Bonnie Adams (Jerry) and Deborah Fike (Leverle); his grandchildren, Taylor Canerday, Kolbe Stout, Riley Canerday, Khloe Canerday and Matthew Garner; and his great grandchildren, Xander Canerday and Fallon Canerday.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Greenhill Funeral Home (8450 US-43, Florence, AL 35634).
