She was predeceased by: her husband Tom Frank Bess; her parents, Ada Wyrosdick and Harmon Wyrosdick; and her siblings, Charles, Rudolph, Jimmy, Wayne, Rex Wyrosdick and Sue Haymon.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Bess, John Bess (Sheila), Tammy Floyd (Mike) and Kim Matthews (Troy) of Kinston, Alabama.; and her brother Pete Wyrosdick (Cyndi) of Davenport, Florida. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews.
