He is survived by: his brothers, Joe Avant (Patricia) of Kinston, AL and Doug Avant (Faye) of Kinston, AL; his sisters-in-law, Brenda Jones of Samson, AL, Tammie Jones of Goodman, AL and Nell Jones Griffin of Geneva, AL; his close friend Diane Coskrey of Samson, AL; and his caregivers, Tracy Coskrey of Kinston, AL and Dana Garcia of Kinston, AL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
