With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stephen Lamar Dean of Kinston, Alabama, who passed away on January 18, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Mary Lou Clark Dean and James Perry Dean; and his siblings, George Thomas Dean, James Robert Dean, Alton LaDue Dean, Glendal Dean, Susie Mae Edwards, Sara Janette Barnes and Mary Eleanor Smith.

He is survived by : his wife Dovie Ann Helton Dean; his children, Christy Diane Dean Ray (Chuck), Michael Steven Dean (Kathlene) and Kelly Lamar Dean (Paula); and his siblings, Ronnie Clark Dean (Mary Ann) and Miriam Lou Wooden (Steve). He is also survived by nine grandchildren & fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Weeks Memorial Assembly of God in Kinston.
