He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeff Spencer and Lois Spencer; his brothers, Frank and Jeff Spencer; and his son Chad Brandon Spencer.
He is survived by: his son Roy Spencer; his close friend Virginia Williams; his brothers, JD Spencer (Bonnie) and Robert Spencer (Terri); and his granddaughters, Maggie Ellen Acker (Lee), Sarah Gayle Spencer and Mattie Kendell Spencer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
