He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eugene Franklin Lawrence and Mary Margaret Lemley Lawrence; his wife Dorothy Nell Culbreath Lawrence; his children, Donnie Lawrence and Sylvia Jean Short; his grandchildren, Megan Johnson (Eric) and Christopher Short; his great grandchildren, Alyssa Johnson, Canaan Johnson, Taylor Short, Abby Short, Gracie Short and Jake Short; his daughter Deborah Goodson; and his siblings, Oral D. Lawrence, Lillian Hoxey, Virginia Cobb, Robby Boyd and Eldridge Criscoe.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brindlee Mountain Chapel Funeral Home (3552 Hwy 231, Laceys Spring, AL 35754). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
