It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Thomas Simpson Jr. (Laceys Spring, Alabama), who passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Ernest shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Ernest farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Thomas Simpson, Sr. and Ruth Catherine Simpson; and his sister Carol Maxwell. He is survived by: his wife Diann Simpson; his sisters, Gloria Brown and Leta Brooks; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Blankenship (Rhonda King), Myron, Chris and Billy Joe McClain. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
