She was predeceased by : her parents, Herman "Happy Jack" Welch and Teressa S. Welch Teel; her siblings, Cheryl McWhorter (Spencer) and Alec Welch; and her cousin Wanda Worthy Jazwinksky.

She is survived by : her daughter Nicole Brooks (Jamie); her grandchildren, Jacob, Austin and Hannah Brooks; her siblings, Gwen Adams (David), John and Joel Welch; her nephews, Clanton McWhorter, Stacey Welch and Dave Adams; and her pets, Monkey and Bubba.
