He was predeceased by : his former life partner Jimmie Ann Fant Lisenby; his father James Madison Lisenby; his sister Annette Lisenby; his grandson Wayne Blackburn; and his mother Annie McKee Chambers Lisenby.

He is survived by : his wife Linda M. Lisenby of LaFayette; his son James Mark Lisenby of Opelika; his brother Wayne Lisenby of Salem; and his stepdaughter Patricia Campbell of Little River. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
