He is survived by: his wife Loretta Aikens Smith of LaFayette; his children, Jessica Cannon (Bill) of Valley and Jedediah Smith (Jessica) of LaGrange; his brother Tom Lavendar of Moundville; and his grandchildren, Karmin Smith, Kensleigh Smith, Billy Cannon III and Gavin Alderman.
