He is survived by: his children, Carlos Vines (Candice) and Courtney Winston of LaFayette, AL; his siblings, Amos Lamar Moody (Mary) of Lanett, AL, Clarence Moody (Angie) of Lanett, AL, Charlie Edwards Moody of Ellenwood, GA, Lorine Calhoun of Five Points, AL, Nancy Joan Trammell of Five Points, AL and Emma Jean McClarry (Romeo) of Maryland; his grandchildren, Kenyon Vines, Jacob Shephard, Tomekeo Lockhart, Jr., Te'Nija Vines, C'Niyah Stevens and Cierra Vines; his niece Anita Quinnell Moody; and his cousin Velma Clifton Kendrick (Eartha Moody). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel (612 M. L. King Drive SE, Lafayette, AL 36862). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church (1077 Co Rd 433, Five Points, AL 36855). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Essie J. Handy Memorial Cemetery (402 B St, La Fayette, AL 36862).
