It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie George McCoy of LaFayette, Alabama, who passed away on May 20, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his daughters, Tamara McCoy (Kiniya Burton) of Lanett, AL and Barbara McCoy of Birmingham, AL; and his siblings, Rev. Eddie McCoy (Joyce) of Birmingham, AL, Monroe McCoy (Faye) of Roanoke, AL, Barabara Askew of LaFayette, AL and Rilla Davidson of Auburn, AL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
