He is survived by: his close friend Alice Green; his children, Kristie Spivey (Frank Dee) and Greg Thacker; his siblings, Brenda Pankey, Darlene Thacker, Dora Arant and Jerry Thacker (Debbie); his grandchildren, Errin Freeman (Kendal Kilgore), Steven Freeman, Kelton Freeman and Jenna Pettus; his great grandchildren, Jermiah Pettus, Karter Freeman and Kash Freeman; his caregiver Leslie Smith; Mike, Scott, David, Danny King and Cliff.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vance Brooks Funeral Home - Phenix City (3738 US-431, Phenix City, AL 36868). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Wounded Warriors or St. Judes, honoring Cliff's lifelong love for the military and children.
