With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ernest Kelley of Lanett, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 7, 2026 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Maurine Holley Kelley; his grandparents, Edwin Jackson of Crenshaw County, Vestula Fowler Kelley of Crenshaw County, Powell J. of Crenshaw County and Minnie Irene Martin Holley of Crenshaw County; his brother Jerry Kelley; and his grandson Adam Smith.
He is survived by: his father Ernest Paten; his wife Betty Kelley; his daughter Lisa Kelley (Ashley) of Auburn; his stepchildren, Debbie Smith (Chris) of LaGrange and Sam Harris (Mandy) of Sylacauga; his grandchildren, Kate, Ben, Timothy (Kristi), Krysta (Trevor) and Keaton; his great grandchildren, Hudson, Henry, Hollis, Addi and Apollo; and his siblings, Sandra Beverly (David) and Gene Kelley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
