She is survived by: her children, Denise Scott (Tyrone Brooks, Sr.) of Lanett, Quancez Scott of Lanett, Andrea Farrow (Demarco) of Lanett, Janice Thomas of Brooklyn, Jamel Scott of Brooklyn, William Scott of Essex Junction, Lashawn Scott of Lanett and Niheem Hutchinson of Cranston; her grandchildren, Jayshon Burton, Jakira Burton, Alayshia Whitfield, Elijah Whitfield, Tyren Brooks, Alajawon Whitfield, Tyrone Brooks Jr., Jamain Scott, Jayceon Scott, Eriyane Scott, Amelia Scott, Eboni Thomas, Elexis Thomas, E'naisha Thomas, Emmanuel Thomas and Emmitt Thomas; her siblings, Lorraine Zachery (Larry), Vernetta Scott (Arthur Daniel), Tamika Scott (Anthony Pollard), Richard Carter (Renee) of Lanett, Alabama, James Scott (Libby) of Lanett, Alabama and Keith Scott of Lanett, Alabama; and her godchildren, Richard Dawson, Reginal Dunn (Katina), Antoinette Robinson, Ravin Myhand and Erica Love. She is also survived by nieces, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel (612 M. L. King Drive SE, Lafayette, AL 36862). The lying in state will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Dimensions Worship Center (5610 20th Ave, Valley, AL 36854). A burial will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at the Pine Hill Cemetery (2167 22nd St SW, Lanett, AL 36863).
