She was predeceased by: her parents, Daisy Mae Jackson and Joseph Thurman; her brother Arthur Thurman; and her aunts, Mary Lue Huguley and Annie Mae Reese.
She is survived by: her son Cornelius Thurman (Leslie); her brothers, Albert Thurman (Jacquelyn) and Willie Hardy; and her grandchildren, LeChristopher Story, Ashley Thurman, Kendra Thurman, Cedrick Thurman, Jayda Williams and Jazmyn Thurman. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
