She was predeceased by : her parents, Early Winston, Sr. and Genie Mae Perry-Winston of Shawmut, Alabama.; and her siblings, Jessie Winston, Arrie Truett, Frances Boyd, Earl Winston, Welzy Winston, Genevieve Heard, Dorothy Thompson and Betty Ware.
She is survived by : her husband J. C. Whitlow; her children, Frederica Elaine Hammonds (Markus), Freddie Williams Jr., Cynthia Melita Williams and Mary Beauford (Deana); her siblings, Lamar Winston, Mattie (Tessie) and Goss (Robert); her grandchildren, Mildrea "Chandi" Shorter, Markus Hammonds Jr., Dominick Williams, Jason Hammonds, Katessa Hammonds and Nichola Clark; her great grandchildren, Naj, Cydney, AmaraGrace, Chandler, Markell, Jason Jr., Kayden, Heavaiah, Gabriel, Diana and Ilana; and her godson Gary Belyeu. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
