He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ellen Tankersley Short; his children, Mary Henley (Ron), Rhonda Villegas (Jorge) and Michael David Short (Joyce); and his grandchildren, Terry Cody Harmon, Destiny Christian Stewart, Brittany Nichole Pitts, Chasity Nicole Rowe, Kyndra Alyse Pitts, Brianna Lynn Short, Morgan Kay Henley, Brandi Michelle Denton, Michael David Denton, Makai Edward Henley, Kennedy McKay Villegas and Miles Ava Henley.

Due to Coronavirus gathering restrictions services will be private.
