He was predeceased by: his parents, George Julius and Sallie Mae Hall Chesser; his siblings, Joe Chesser, Leon Chesser, Ora Mae Fox, Margie Sexton, John Tom Chesser, Adeline Godwin, Billy Chesser, Lonnie Chesser and Fontel Chesser; his niece Jennifer Pouncey; and his nephews, Michael Chesser, Thomas Chesser and Billy Royal.
He is survived by: his sister Minnie Lee Royal; his nieces and nephews, Sylvia Parker, Donna Stephens, Patricia Powell, Johnny Fox, Ronald Fox and Timothy Chesser; and his close friend Kenny McGough. He is also survived by numerous other extended family members and friends.
