Cecil Wilson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cecil Wilson (Leeds, Alabama), who passed away on July 11, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Wilson and Myrtle Geeters Wilson; and his brothers, Bill Wilson and Bruce Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Lawanna Montgomery Wilson; his children, Roxanne Wilson Nix (Bobby Nix) and Michael Gene Wilson (Lisa Wilson); and his grandchildren, Rachel Wilson, Mitch Wilson and Sarah Nix.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kilgroe Funeral Home (1750 Ashville Rd, Leeds, AL 35094). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Cecil's name to either Bill Glass Behind the Walls Prison Ministries or Hope Community Church, 4445 Montevallo Road, Birmingham, AL 35213.
