The passing of David Hitechew of Leeds, Alabama, born in Roan Mountain, Tennessee leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 22, 2025 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vester Julian and Larnie Julian; his wife Virginia Carter; and his siblings, Loman Hitechew and Beula Garland.
He is survived by: his son David James (Michael-Alyson); his grandchildren, Chase (Lindsey), Taylor (Kala), Samuel (Savana), Davis (Gracie), Eli (Abigail), Scotty-Alyson and Maggie; his great grandchildren, Easton, Georgia Katherine, Lenny and Gabriella; and his siblings, Jerry Hitechew, Francis Heaton and Melani Munday. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Kilgore Funeral Home (1750 Ashville Rd, Leeds, AL 35094). A committal service was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Alabama National Cemetery (45M7+8H, 3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
