She was predeceased by: her parents, Mamie Sue Sweatt and Hugh Winfred Shockley Sr.; her siblings, Susie Hammett, Jody Watson, Patsy Lovvorn, Bobby Shockley and Larry Shockley; and her friend Martha Shockley.
She is survived by: her daughter Cortnee Nix; her granddaughter Maddelyn Nix; and her brother Hugh Shockley Jr.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
