He was predeceased by : his parents, Grover Lindsey and Nancy Lindsey; and his sisters, Delphia Clark, Earline Humphres, Ruth Clements and Shirley Smith.

He is survived by : his wife Mary Lindsey; his daughters, Dr. Pam Key, Rachel Meads (Joe) and Nancy Howell (Todd); and his grandchildren, Jon Meads (Claire), Lindsey Patterson (Micah), Emily Howell and Timothy Howell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kilgroe Funeral Home (1750 Ashville Rd, Leeds, AL 35094). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at the Forest Crest Cemetery.
