He was predeceased by: his parents, Garvin Nichols and Jewel Nichols; his son Johnny Campbell; and his siblings, Zhelma, Thelma, Gary and Lindy Nichols.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Kelly Nichols; his children, Kelli Nichols and Darren Nichols (Draga); his grandchildren, Andrew, Chandler, Stacey, Jamie and Madelyn; his sister Darlene Calhoun; and also Jimmy. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kilgroe Funeral Home (1750 Ashville Rd, Leeds, AL 35094). A graveside service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Branchville Cemetery.
