He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Holmes and Irene Brown; and his brother Clifford Holmes. He is survived by: his wife Jean Holmes; his children, Rusty Holmes (April), Tim Holmes, Chris Rhoades (Hope) and Jennifer Crandell (Russell); his grandchildren, Ryan (Brittany), Tyler (Jessica), Lane, Holly (Matt), Samantha (Stephen), Kathryn and Kaleigh (Corey); and his great grandchildren, Rhett, Beau, Ian, Bransen, Rowan, Adie, Rose, Scarlette, Naomi, Houston, Levi and Liam.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Kilgroe Funeral Home - Leeds (1750 Ashville Rd, Leeds, AL 35094). Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
