She was predeceased by: her husband John Clyde Lee; her parents, John Bee Bates and Ura Bell Cole Bates; and her sisters, Barbara Bates Mellon and Phyllis Bates Horton.

She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Lee Mills of Dallas, TX and Carol Lee Pattillo of Leeds; her sons-in-law, Michael Mills and Alexander Fraser Pattillo, III; her grandchildren, Alexander Pattillo IV, Clare Mills, Bradford Pattillo, John Mills and Grace Pattillo Griffin (Thomas); and her brother-in-law Roland Lee.
