He was predeceased by: his father Delbert Nunnelley; his sister Regina Nunnelley Colley; and his adoptive son Justin Kyle Schmitt. He is survived by: his wife Penny Allen Nunnelley; his son Nicholas "Nick" Nunnelley (Ashley); his grandson Nolan Nunnelley; his mother Lora Nunnelley; his brother-in-law Rockie Allen; his sister Susan Nunnelley Smith; and his close friend Scott Sternenberg. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kilgroe Funeral Home (1750 Ashville Rd, Leeds, AL 35094). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at the Lawley's Chapel (18196 Co Rd 55, Sterrett, AL 35147).
