She was predeceased by: her husbands, William O. Simmons and Howard Vinson Sexton; her close friend Richard "Bud" Heilman; her children, Butch Sexton, Avis Davis and JoJo Heard; and her brothers, Jack, Frank, Dan, Bob, Eugene, George and Eddie Updike.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Holmes, Stuart Sexton (Judy) and Scott Simmons (Brenda). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
