We announce the death of William M. O'Brien (Leeds, Alabama), who passed away on June 1, 2026, at the age of 77. William will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret O'Brien and Laverne Barnes; and his brother Patrick O'Brien. He is survived by: his wife Mary O'Brien; his daughters, Jennifer Rutherford (Dave), Laura Layton (John) and Carrie Deese (Joseph); his grandchildren, John Rutherford, Lynx Rutherford, Emerald Adams, Waylon Adams, Abigail Layton, Summer Layton and Sawyer Deese; and his great grandchild Penny.
