Frances Helms Henson Obituary

We announce the death of Frances Helms Henson of Leesburg, Alabama, who passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 94. Frances will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cora Patterson Hanks and Braxton Comer Hanks of Coats Bend, AL.; her former husband John Frank Helms; her siblings, Comer Hanks, Jr., Sara McDaniel, Betty Lasseter and Julia Strawn; and her grandchildren, Kylie Reaves and Caleb Reaves.

She is survived by: her husband Charles Henson; her daughters, Joan Reaves (Gary) of Trussville, AL, Jeanni Orazine (Doug) of Springville, AL and Joy Queen (Gene) of Leesburg, AL; her grandchildren, Dustin Reaves (Allison), Deric Reaves (Ana), Wendi Fassina, Kerri Mahaffey (Chris), Scott Orazine (Courtney) and Casey Regnier (Mike); her great grandchildren, Braxton and Emily Reaves; her grandchildren, Austyn, Lucas, Logan, Olivia Reaves, Max, Isabella Medero, Braelyn, Nicholas Fassina, Matthew, Abby, Emma Mahaffey, Ellie, Ava, Annie Orazine, Noah, Mason and Emerson Regnier; and her sisters, Sue Yarbrough (Steve), Wanda Simmons (Dennis) and Marie Cook. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Slackland Baptist Church in Leesburg, AL directed to the WMU program.
