It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Sockwell Crosswhite of Leighton, Alabama, who passed away on February 28, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Crosswhite; her parents, Roy Sockwell and Etoile Sockwell; and her brother Leon Sockwell. She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Coan (Bradley) and Jeana Flanagan (John); her grandchildren, Ashley Keenum (Ryan), Nathan Flanagan (Erin), Jeremy Coan (Giavonna), Nickolas Flanagan (Jessica) and Natalie Acosta (Nick); and her great grandchildren, Riley, Rainey, Cole Keenum, Harper, Asher Flanagan and Melah Acosta.

Memorials may be made to Leighton Baptist Church, 2630 College Street, Leighton, AL 35646, in her memory.
