She was predeceased by: her parents, William Paul and Clara Belle Pitts Gaston; her husband Charles Black; her brothers, Wilson and Howard Gaston; and her granddaughter Julie Goza.

She is survived by: her daughters, Alisha Harbin (Randy), Ramona Motes (Jonathan), Paula Fialk (Richard) and Regina Wallace (Shane); her grandchildren, Tiffany Wallace, Janey Grizzard (Jay), Rusty Wallace (Samantha), Jacob Motes, Wesley Grant (Seanna), Brady Grant (Cheyanne) and Riley Motes; and her cousin Charlie Cat. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations in her honor may be made to Hospice of North Alabama.
