She was predeceased by: her husband James Robert Smith; her parents, Morris Duke and Addie Lee Duncan Duke; her children, Russell Smith and Penny Smith Henkel; her sister Katherine Duke; and her sons-in-law, Mike Crunk and Anthony "Bud" Henkel.
She is survived by: her children, Nathan Smith (Teresa) and Amy Crunk; her brother James O. Duke (Shelby); and her grandchildren, Christina Keenum, Christopher Crunk, Chad Crunk, Josh Henkel, Nakea Townsend, Ben Smith, Audrey Burnett, Angela Smith, Kayla Patterson and Andrew Patterson.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Lexington's Friday Meal Program.
