He was predeceased by: his son Timothy Shankwitz; and his sister Pamela Jean Shankwitz. He is survived by: his son Benjamin Shankwitz; his brother Robert "Bob" Shankwitz (Vickie) of Lillian, AL; his nephews, Joseph Shankwitz (Lisa) of Tampa, FL and Robert Shankwitz, III (Ronnie Southard) of Chattanooga, TN; and his niece Megan Pitts (Ian) of Fort Wayne, IN. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
