It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carrie Lee Cornelius of Lincoln, Alabama, born in Cullman, Alabama, who passed away on July 6, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Annie Lee Wilson and Robert Solon Wilson; her siblings, Peggy Graves, Martha Tilley, Shirlie Drake, Arthur Wilson (Ann) and Bobby Wilson; her children, Carol Purgahn (Chad), Jack Cornelius and Mike Cornelius; her grandchildren, Michael Scott (Natosha), Heath Purgahn (Melissa), Danielle Scott, Anna Roberts (Nate) and Jordan Crane (Allen); her great grandchildren, Holland Platts, Madilyn Roberts, Hallie Scott, Haddon Purgahn, Brantley Purgahn and Lyla Purgahn; and her sister Ann Wilson. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

Robbie Channell wrote a sympathy message

“To Mike Carol and little Jack, I’m so sorry you have lost your mother. I miss those times together on “ The Hill “. When I needed to be in B’ham I spent nights at Jack and Carrie’s home. Carrie was always a most gracious host and friend. I have missed her through the years. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Come visit if you’re ever in Leeds. Love, Robbie C.”
