We announce the death of Frances Elaine DeVaughn Bond of Lineville, Alabama, who passed away on September 17, 2026, at the age of 84. Frances will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, James DeVaughn and Sara DeVaughn; her stepfather Clinton Fetner; her husband Wayne Bond; her siblings, Roger Fetner and Barbara Fetner; and her granddaughter Rebecca Joyce.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Engle (Terry) and Pam Wiley; her grandchildren, Pamela Chavez (Miguel), Bradley Keef (Lauren), Hali Averette (Justin) and Tiffany Battle (LaShamian); her great grandchildren, Cory, Tasha, Emma, Dante, Jacob, Elaina, Camden, Carter, Ryleigh and Kaleigh; her great great grandchild Ryder; and her brothers, Carlton DeVaughn, Keith Fetner (Lisa) and Paul Fetner. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Springhill Christian Church (2720 Blakes Ferry Rd, Lineville, AL 36266).
