She was predeceased by : her parents, E. W. Waits and Cora Allen Waits; and her husband Lendon Fields. She is survived by : her sons, Jeff Fields of Wedowee and Joey V. Fields (Sharon) of Wedowee. She is also survived by two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Benefield Funeral Home (17624 US-431, Wedowee, AL 36278). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Rocky Branch Baptist Church Cemetery (12215 Co Rd 59, Woodland, AL 36280).
