She was predeceased by: her husband Elwyn "Hoot" Gibson; her parents, JC Colley and Lizzie Alford Colley; her daughter Karen Gibson; her siblings, Willian McDaniel and Gerald Hugh Colley; and her daughter-in-law Angel Gibson.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Gibson of Alex City, Donald Gibson (Amy) of Mountain Community, Edward Gibson (Theresa) and Janet Robertson (Dwayne) of Mellow Valley; her grandchildren, Jaycie, Brooklyn Robertson, Steven Randolph (Chelsea), Joey Randolph, Jade Randolph, Brian Black (Donna), Dylan Ragsdale, Sean Battles, Katie Benefield (Lawson), John Welsh (Kirby), Lacy Welsh Bailey (Adam) and Autumn Kinder (Jonathan); her great grandchildren, Kiley, Katelyn, Kollin Black, Cord Bailey, Boone, Brae Welsh, Hunter, Rosie Randolph, Luke, Landry Kinder, Avery and Ellie Benefield; and her siblings, Thurber Colley of Mellow Valley and Marcelle Smith of Alexander City.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Benefield Funeral Home - Lineville (89076 AL-9, Lineville, AL 36266). The lying in state will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
