We announce the death of George Udell Mayfield III of Livingston, Alabama, who passed away on May 29, 2026, at the age of 73. George will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Udell Mayfield, Jr. and Peggy Schwann Mayfield. He is survived by: his wife Andrea Scott Mayfield of Livingston, AL.; his children, Michael Mayfield (Lizzie) of Aliceville, AL., Kelly Mayfield Russell (John IV) of Aliceville, AL. and Alex Mayfield (Addie) of Starkville, MS.; and his grandchildren, Millie Mayfield, Macarty Mayfield, Rainer Russell, Reece Russell, Walt Russell, Briggs Mayfield, Shep Mayfield and Reams Mayfield.
In lieu of flowers the family welcomes the purchase of a tree from Bloomers in Livingston to be planted around the mausoleum.
