He was predeceased by: his sister Gail Williams; and his parents, Gwendolyn Friday and William Hoyt Friday. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Boyd Friday; his children, Steven Friday (Suni) and Sarah Frances Friday Richardson (Mark) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.; his granddaughters, Mary Allen Richardson, Sophie Bell Friday, Silvie Briggs Friday and Stevie Blair Boyd Friday; his siblings, Kathy Glass (Harvey), David Friday (Donna) and Marilyn Floyd; and his brothers-in-law, Ed Boyd (Cathy) and Ben Boyd. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
