He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mathews and Juanita Gray; his brother Mark Mathews; and his grandparents, Ernest Mathews and Myrtle Mathews.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Mathews; his daughters, Bridget Mathews and Tammy Mathews; his granddaughter Zahley Mathews; his sister Jame'l Mathews; and his sister-in-law Wanda Mathews. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lemley Funeral Chapel (6878 2nd Ave W, Oneonta, AL 35121). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
